Granny Square Day!

Crocheting granny squares is very therapeutic! A simple granny square can take away your stress even before you have finished making one! Have you tried making granny squares? You simply cannot make just one!

Granny square day is celebrated on August 15th every year and it also coincides with the Indian Independence day! In August 2020 , we released our first Blanket pattern , Mazhaikaalam. This was made up of 5 different granny squares with the designs based on the monsoon! You can check out the blanket pattern on Ravelry . The squares are available individually as well from both Ravelry(click the image below to go to the individual squares and Payhip – Kaatru (meaning breeze), Megam (meaning cloud), Thooral (meaning drizzle), Saaral (meaning downpour) and Thulir(meaning shoots).

The next year(2021) saw us designing a plethora of granny squares and you can check them all out in our Ravelry or Payhip stores! The same year saw the birth of the pattern based on the Indian Tricolour but it is yet to be written out:( It will be too long a post to list them out here hence leaving you with a collage of the collection! Would love to hear your thoughts on our square patterns, do drop in a line!
